CLEAR EXPECTATIONS
Terms and conditions
Last updated: 23 October 2026
1. What Swiss Exit does
These terms explain the use of swissexit.com, its checklists, reports, saved plans, reminders and community pages. The service helps you organise tasks, documents and questions, and record your progress. It is free to use. Reading these terms does not sign you up for emails or give permission to publish a contribution.
2. Information, not professional advice
References to banking, pensions, tax, mortgages, insurance, currency exchange, housing or immigration are general background and prompts for matters you may need to check. Swiss Exit does not assess what financial product, transaction or course of action is suitable for you. It does not recommend buying, selling, transferring or cashing out assets, pensions or investments.
Your answers help select organisational checklist items. They do not create financial, investment, tax, legal or immigration advice, a professional assessment, or an adviser-client relationship. Before making a decision, confirm the rules and your circumstances with the relevant authority, provider or appropriately qualified professional.
3. Dates and completeness
Dates and lead times are suggested preparation targets, not confirmed deadlines. A month-only or undecided moving date produces approximate planning prompts. Your actual obligations depend on contracts, local rules and individual circumstances. Check notice periods, eligibility, fees and deadlines directly and keep written confirmations.
The checklist may not cover everything relevant to your move. Rules and linked pages can change; content is not continuously checked or automatically verified against changes in law. Keep your own record of essential dates and documents.
4. Saved plans and reminders
You can use the checklist without an account. Device storage can be lost when you clear browser data or change devices. Optional online saving requires email-code sign-in. Keep access to your email secure and sign out on shared devices.
Weekly emails require a separate opt-in. They are supplementary organisational prompts: delivery and timing are not guaranteed, and completed, blocked or postponed items may be omitted. Do not rely on an email to meet an obligation. Pause reminders from your account or the link in an email. Requested plan copies reflect the saved information at the time they are sent.
5. Community experiences
Stories are personal experiences, not verified facts or professional recommendations. AI helps edit wording and check relevance but can make mistakes. Authors must review the edited version before publishing and only submit material they have permission to share. Do not include private information, unlawful material, abuse, spam or promotions.
By publishing, you permit Swiss Exit to display your approved contribution on the community page. You retain ownership of your words. Save your removal code to remove your story later. We may remove content that breaches these terms or raises privacy, safety or relevance concerns. Use the report control to flag a story; reports do not automatically hide it.
6. Your data
Device-local plans, optional online accounts and public contributions are separate. The home page explains how saved plans are handled; the community page explains how contributions are handled, including AI processing and retention. Do not enter account numbers, identity documents or other unnecessary sensitive information. Deleting your online account does not clear copies in your browser, email inbox or public community contributions.
7. Fair use and external links
You may use and print your checklist for your personal departure planning. Do not interfere with the service, bypass access controls, misuse another person's account or send automated spam. Links to authorities and providers are provided for convenience; their availability and content are outside our control and a link is not an endorsement.
8. Service availability and responsibility
We aim to provide a useful organisational tool, but errors, interruptions and delayed emails can occur. Keep independent copies of important information. Swiss Exit does not carry out cancellations, file forms, move money or contact authorities on your behalf.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any responsibility or consumer right that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or restricted. These terms do not require you to give up legal remedies available to you.
9. Changes
Features and these terms may be updated. The date above identifies this version. Changes do not remove rights you already have under applicable law. Optional contributions through Buy Me a Coffee are not required to access your checklist or report and do not purchase advice or additional services. Payments are handled on that external platform, under its displayed payment conditions and privacy information.
