A friendly checklist for leaving Switzerland and moving abroad.
Organise your departure tasks, paperwork and questions to ask.

Swiss Exit is a personal organisation tool, not a financial advisory service. Read our terms and conditions.

Free checklist and report. About 5 minutes. “I’m not sure” is a perfectly good answer.

UK · USA · Canada · Australia · New Zealand · Ireland
No silly questions. No finance degree needed.

A cheerful turquoise suitcase and a moving box beside a path to a little lilac home
One little step. Then the next.

How your saved plan is handled

Signing in stores your email in AWS Cognito. Choosing Save online stores your questionnaire answers, completion and reminder dates privately in AWS in Europe. Nothing is shared with community readers. Only complete move details are uploaded; unfinished questionnaire drafts stay on this device.

We use a secure sign-in cookie for up to seven days. Your browser also keeps a local checklist. Sign out and clear local data on shared computers. You can delete your online account and plan here; database recovery backups may retain deleted data for up to 35 days. Session records expire within seven days. Community stories have their own removal process.

Weekly emails are optional and separate from sign-in codes and requested plan copies. You can pause them here or from an email without signing in. No marketing list is created. Emailed copies contain your plan and cannot be recalled from your inbox.
